Addiction Recovery Ministry (ARM)

addition recovery ministryThe Addiction Recovery Ministry (ARM), a partner of Safer Communities Ministry, is a Christ based ministry that offers support to addicts and their families.  Regardless of what type of addiction you or your family member suffers from (i.e. drugs, alcohol, sex, pornography, shopping, gambling, etc.), we can help!  We provide a safe and confidential environment for all participants.  The mission of ARM is to lead those affected by addiction into the knowledge of freedom, only Christ can bring.

Bethel Colony

bethel colonyBethel Colony of Mercy is a faith-based drug and alcohol rehab facility for men, located in Lenoir, North Carolina.  This 65 day residential program encourages and teaches men to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ through teachings, homework, counseling, worship, work projects, Bible studies, and much more.  Only a $250 entry fee is required.  To learn more or fill out an application, please visit the website http://www.bethelcolony.org/index.htm.

 

Deborah Ross Ministries (DRM)

deborah ross ministriesDeborah Ross Ministries (DRM) was established by Safer Communities Ministry Board Member, Deborah Ross.  DRM’s mission is to “Strengthen Families; Encourage Faith; and Preach the Gospel”.  Their vision is to open God’s Word to those that have ears to listen.  This evangelistic ministry is committed to providing hope and love that transcend generational curses, as well as cultural and denominational boundaries.   This ministry is a partner of Safer Communities Ministry and the Addiction Recovery Ministry.

Division of Employment Security

Grace Home

Restoration House

restoration houseRestoration House is a non-profit faith-based half way house for men, located in Monroe, NC.  This ministry is devoted to ministering to the homeless, addicts, and ex-offenders.  Men are able to live at the house for various periods of time.  During their stay, they are taught how to develop a personal relationship with the Lord.  They are provided with assistance in job search, counseling, budgeting, and much more.  This program is free of charge.  Once participants obtain a job, they are required to pay a small fee to help support the house.  For more information, please visit http://www.restorationhouses.org/index.htm.

 

Union County Community Shelter

union-county-community-shelter-logo-2014The Union County Community Shelter provides many great services to those who are in need.  These services include: adult emergency shelter, emergency family shelter, soup kitchen, Hope Pantry, Amazing Grace Program, Case Management, and Rapid Re-Housing Program.   One of the most beneficial services for ex-offenders is the Case Management support.  Case managers provide individualized case plans for each resident to eventually gain independent living.  They provide resources to purchase transportation vouchers, medications, work permits and work supplies.  They also help address issues such as mental health, education, employment, training, and budgeting.  For more information go to http://www.unionshelter.org/.
